Several African nationals were among those injured in an Iran missile strike on the United Arab Emirates, the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Defence confirmed in a statement published on social media.

The weekend attack claimed the lives of three individuals from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh, while 58 others sustained minor injuries. Among the injured are citizens from Ethiopia, Eritrea, Uganda, Egypt, as well as people from several Asian countries.

The strikes mark Tehran’s retaliation following a joint bombing campaign by Israel and the United States against Iran. In response, Iran has launched dozens of ballistic missiles toward the UAE and targeted several U.S. military bases in the region.

Air travel across the Middle East has been severely disrupted, leaving many foreign nationals stranded. Key airspace and flight routes, including in Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi, remain closed, affecting long-haul connections between Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.

As airlines adjust routes and governments monitor the security situation, travelers across the region continue to face uncertainty, awaiting the reopening of critical air corridors.
