Business leader Rajan Rameshchandra Malde, a board member of Pwani Oil Products, has died at the age of 48.

In a joint statement released on Friday, the boards and management of Pwani Oil Products, Trufoods Ltd, and Kartasi Ltd confirmed that Malde passed away on March 6, 2026, in Nairobi.

The companies described his passing as a profound loss to their organisations, employees, and the broader business community.

“Throughout his tenure, Mr. Malde demonstrated unwavering commitment, visionary leadership and a deep sense of purpose,” the statement said.

“His guidance helped shape the direction of our companies and his contributions will remain a lasting part of our institutional legacy.”

Funeral Arrangements Announced

According to a funeral notice released by the family, members of the public will have an opportunity to pay their final respects on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at the Oshwal Centre located along Ring Road in Parklands.

The funeral cortege will depart the venue at 2:00 pm for a cremation ceremony at the Hindu Shamshan Bhumi Kariokor Crematorium, where the cremation is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm.

A family meeting and prayer session will later be held the same evening between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm, also at the Oshwal Centre.

In their tribute, the companies highlighted Malde’s impact as a respected leader in the corporate sector, describing him as someone whose leadership and dedication helped guide the growth and direction of the organisations he served.

They said he leaves behind a legacy defined by integrity, hard work, and compassion.
