Social media personality and influencer Diana Kemunto has revealed that she personally drafted a formal relationship agreement during her time dating singer Ian Okwemba Oure, popularly known as Iyanii.

Speaking with media personality Alex Mwakideu in an interview aired Thursday, March 12, 2026, Kemunto discussed the emotional and practical motivations behind the agreement. She explained that it was created shortly after her birthday earlier this year, as she noticed emerging challenges in the relationship.

“Hii agreement, I am the one who drafted it. The moment I started seeing things were not going to work between us… I was ready to contribute if it was too much on your end. We are in a relationship, and that means it is about you and me,” Kemunto said.

She also addressed the public nature of their relationship, detailing rules she set to prevent misunderstandings.

“I told him this: if we ever get to a point where we want to separate, you have already made me public; our relationship is out there, and people are expecting updates. Why is Ian not posting Kemunto, and why is Kemunto not posting or has unfollowed Ian?” she added.

Kemunto emphasized that she initiated these boundaries to ensure clear communication in sensitive situations.

“Am the one who came up with that rule… I am begging you, never go there, put a statement until tukae chini tuagree chenye tutaekea watu,” she explained.

Reflecting on the breakup, Kemunto revealed the timeline and her personal processing of the split. “What happened, my birthday was on January 1; on dates 2 and 3, I was with him, and after that is when I concluded enyewe hii imeisha, I did not do any statement, I went silent,” she noted. She added that although the breakup occurred in January and took five months to process, she had been willing to continue the relationship.

Kemunto also described this as her longest romantic involvement to date.

“That was my longest relationship… that is why nilisema six months nikuwe nimeolewa,” she said.
