Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions in parts of Nandi and Nyeri counties on Sunday, November 16, 2025, as part of routine maintenance aimed at improving service reliability.

In a notice shared on its official social media pages on Saturday, November 15, 2025, the utility confirmed that the planned outages are necessary to enhance infrastructure safety and prevent unplanned power disruptions.

Nandi County:
Residents in Ikuywa, including Koibem, Kamelon, George Khaniri, and surrounding areas, will experience a power blackout from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., totaling nine hours.

Nyeri County:
Power will be interrupted in Njoguini, affecting Njoguini Shopping Centre, Njoguini Secondary School, PCEA Njoguini, Thatha Village, Njoguini Villages 2 and 3, Kinaini Village, and nearby households and businesses. The outage is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Kenya Power urged affected customers to take necessary precautions during the outages. The company also reminded the public that emergency services will remain operational and can be reached through Kenya Power’s customer care channels for urgent electrical issues.
