DJ Fatxo of Mugithi has spoken out for the first time since the death of interior designer Geoffrey Mwathi.
DJ Fatxo is a suspect in the case after the young interior designer died while visiting the singer.
Fatxo told the reporters after detectives investigating the death departed his rented flat in Kasarani that he wants to know the truth.
"We all want to know what happened, and we think that justice will be served," he said.
The Mugithi musician went on to declare that he will set aside a day to meet with Kenyans about the issue, despite his faith that the obstacle will be overcome.
Mwathi is said to have fallen from the 12th floor of Redwood Apartments on Thika Road, where the DJ lives.
The circumstances of his death are still unknown. He was allegedly partying with a bunch of friends.
According to reports, the victim had spent the day with the famed DJ.
On Friday, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations' homicide division paid a visit to the residence.
This came after Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki directed DCI Mohamed Amin to dispatch a homicide team from the DCI headquarters to thoroughly examine the event and take appropriate action.
"I appreciate the DCI's prompt response on this subject. "The DCI headquarters homicide squad is objective, and this will help resolve the charges of conspiracy at Kasarani Police Station, where the issue was reported," he stated.
