Kikuyu Law Court man was sentenced to life imprisonment for defiling a 5-year-old child

A middle-aged man was sentenced to life imprisonment in Kikuyu on Thursday by the Kikuyu Law Court for defiling a 5-year-old child.

Vera Abongo, the prosecutor, called four witnesses in the case. Abongo convinced the court that the accused committed defilement in violation of Section 8(1)(2) of the Sexual Offences Act No. 3 of 2006.

The accused was additionally charged with conducting an indecent act with a child in violation of Section 11(1) of the Sexual Offences Act.
