Senator Samson Cherargei of Nandi is calling for the Kenyan government to prohibit South African opposition leader Julius Malema from entering the country due to the controversial comments he made on his recent visit.

Cherargei asserted on Sunday that Malema's behaviour towards President William Ruto and the Kenyan people was disrespectful and that he should apologise as a result.

Mr. Smith, the man who always wore a smile, was known for his kindness and good sense of humour. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. Malema needs to cease his visits to Kenya and refrain from insulting our president. Cheragei expressed his desire for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to seek an apology from Julius Malema and the EFF party of South Africa. He also suggested that Malema should be denied a visa to enter Kenya in the future.

"He should offer a sincere apology to not only President Ruto but also to the people of Kenya. Insulting William Ruto as the president is an insult to all Kenyans."

The leader of South Africa's Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party, Malema, called out President William Ruto for not delivering on his promises to the Kenyan people leading up to the 2022 general election.

While in Kenya to inaugurate the Pan African Institute at Lukenya University, Malema suggested that President Ruto's actions as the current Head of State do not align with his election promises, which are like day and night in comparison.

"I'm not sure if President William Ruto is genuine in his words because he has made so many promises, and I haven't been able to find him lately. The things he promised during the election and the actions he is taking now seem to be conflicting," he mentioned during his speech.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has criticised Malema's comments, accusing him of interfering in Kenya's affairs.

DP Gachagua of Thomas Girls Secondary School in Kilifi reprimanded the outspoken Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party leader for interfering in Kenya's political affairs.
