HOLLYWOOD, USA — The nominations for the 98th Academy Awards have been announced, with the vampire period horror film Sinners making history after receiving a record-breaking 16 nominations across major categories.
The film, directed by Ryan Coogler, leads this year’s contenders ahead of One Battle After Another, which secured 13 nominations, positioning both productions as the frontrunners ahead of the awards ceremony set to take place in Hollywood on Sunday.
Other strong contenders include Frankenstein, Marty Supreme, and Sentimental Value, each earning nine nominations, while Hamnet garnered eight nominations.
