Kihara strongly rejected the allegations, while the confrontation escalated until moderator Fred Indimuli muted their microphones.
A Tanzanian court has ruled that opposition leader Tundu Lissu has a case to answer in his treason trial, following testimony from 17 prosecution witnesses. Lissu, who faces a charge that could carry the death penalty, denies the allegations and plans to call senior government officials, including President Samia Suluhu Hassan, as defence witnesses.
