Our Story

Gee Radio officially went live on 4th November 2020, marking the beginning of a new era in online broadcasting. Built on the vision of creating a platform that informs, entertains, and connects audiences locally and beyond, the station launched as a purely digital outlet—streaming straight to listeners without the limitations of traditional radio.

From day one, Gee Radio set out to deliver content that speaks to everyday life, blending music, talk, and culture into a rhythm that fits the modern listener. Over time, the station introduced a line-up of unique shows designed to keep audiences engaged throughout the week.

The weekday mornings kick off with Angaza (4:00 am – 6:00 am, Mon–Fri), setting the tone for early risers, followed by Gee In The Morning (6:00 am – 10:00 am, Mon–Fri), a vibrant mix of energy, conversation, and music. Midday programming is anchored by Gee Midday (10:00 am – 1:00 pm, Mon–Fri), while evenings wind down with the popular Gee Drive (4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Mon–Fri).

To add variety, Gee Radio carved out themed slots across the week:

• Monday Rest (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Mondays) for laid-back vibes.

• Hip-Hop Tuesday (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Tuesdays) celebrating the culture.

• Midweek Mix (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Wednesdays) with midweek energy.

• Rewind Thursday (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Thursdays) for throwback hits.

• Weekend Warm-Up (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Fridays) to set the weekend mood.

Saturdays bring in a loyal following with the Reggae Envelope (2:00 pm), a staple for lovers of conscious reggae. Sundays are dedicated to uplifting spiritual content with Sunday Devotion (5:00 am – 7:00 am) and Gospel Breakthrough (10:00 am – 2:00 pm), offering inspiration and worship to round off the week.

Since its launch, Gee Radio has grown steadily, not just as a broadcaster but as a community space for listeners, artists, and creators.
