Community Endorses Okeng’o Nyambane for Nyaribari Chache 2027 Parliamentary Bid

A groundswell of support is building in Kisii County for Communications Authority board member Okeng’o Nyambane, who has been publicly endorsed as a preferred candidate for the Nyaribari Chache parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 General Election.

The endorsement took place during the burial of Okeng’o’s grandmother, the late Truphena Onsembe, who passed away at the age of 105. The ceremony, held at Amabiria Village in Keumbu Ward, drew political leaders and residents who commended Okeng’o’s leadership and commitment to community unity.

Chitago Borabu Ward MCA Felix Nyambane was among those who voiced their support, lauding Okeng’o’s values and urging residents to rally behind him. “We need leaders who craft inclusive policies and understand the challenges facing women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups,” he said.

Nyambane highlighted the importance of leaders who can deliver on development goals such as addressing youth unemployment, upgrading infrastructure, enhancing healthcare services, and investing in quality education.

Kitutu Central Ward MCA Duke Nyarang’o echoed the sentiments, stressing that political leadership must be rooted in service rather than personal ambition. “We have given you our blessings, and when the time comes, we expect you to champion legislation that protects vulnerable groups, promotes equity, and upholds transparency in public resource management,” he told Okeng’o.

As momentum gathers ahead of the 2027 polls, Okeng’o Nyambane’s early endorsement underscores a growing demand for principled, inclusive, and development-oriented leadership in Nyaribari Chache.
