Media personality and content creator Oga Obinna has officially suspended all personal acts of kindness and one-on-one charitable assistance, citing rampant defamation, manipulation, and malicious behaviour on social media.

In a statement released by Obinna TV Studios on October 9, 2025, the entertainer expressed frustration over how his genuine humanitarian gestures have been repeatedly exploited for clout and twisted into false narratives by bloggers and online users.

“What began as genuine efforts to uplift those in need has been met with fabricated stories, malicious trolling, and profound ingratitude that seeks to destroy rather than appreciate,” the statement read.

Obinna clarified that the move was not driven by arrogance but by the need to protect his peace, reputation, and brand integrity.

“Oga Obinna is not God, capable of helping everyone; not obligated to respond to every request for assistance; not subject to blackmail or public pressure to give,” the statement added.

He further reminded fans that destiny cannot be altered by human intervention, asserting that everyone’s success will manifest “with or without Oga Obinna’s help.”

Despite halting personal charitable acts, the statement confirmed that structured community outreach and charity programs under Obinna TV Studios and the Obinna TV Foundation will continue as planned.

The media personality also issued a legal warning to individuals and bloggers spreading defamatory or unverified claims about his philanthropic work.

“Documentation is underway, and accountability will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law,” the statement warned.

Obinna’s announcement follows heightened online debates surrounding acts of compassion and public image, particularly in the wake of the tragic death of artist Shalkido, which stirred controversy in Kenya’s entertainment scene.

Through this decision, Obinna reaffirmed his commitment to organized, transparent charity work—while drawing clear boundaries to protect his brand and mental wellbeing.
