Prophet Victor Kanyari, founder of the Salvation Healing Ministry, has reflected on his iconic ‘Mbegu ya Ksh310’ prayer initiative, which he ran for four years and says was instrumental in building his ministry.
In a candid interview with a local YouTuber aired on Thursday, January 15, 2026, Kanyari explained that the Ksh310 contributions from his followers were never intended for personal use. Instead, he invested the funds in profitable ventures, which he now channels into charitable activities.
“Every day, I provide food for elderly people, and the money I received through the Ksh310 contributions was never for me personally. I invested it in businesses, and now I use those returns to give back to the community,” Kanyari said.
He added that while Ksh310 may appear modest, the cumulative contributions over days and months amounted to significant sums. At one point, he was reportedly generating up to Ksh1 million daily through the initiative. “Ksh310 multiplied over a day or a month could reach Ksh30 million. Over four years, the contributions added up to a substantial amount,” he explained.
Kanyari also stressed that he encouraged even small donations, such as Ksh30 for tea and mandazi, noting that collective contributions can create meaningful impact. “Giving a small amount should never be seen as insignificant. When many people contribute, even little amounts can make a big difference,” he said.
The ‘Mbegu ya 310’ initiative, launched in January 2024, was designed not only to inspire faith and miracles but also to help participants overcome poverty. Kanyari recalled struggling financially when he began preaching in Nairobi, which prompted him to ask for the small contribution.
“Back then, I didn’t have much. I started the Ksh310 initiative to help myself and others, not for personal gain. Poverty was pressing me, and this was a practical solution,” he said.
Despite questions raised in media exposés about his fundraising and healing practices, Kanyari maintains that his ministry continues to perform miracles and improve lives. “The anointing I received from God was never about money; it was about healing people and lifting them out of poverty,” he concluded.
Through televised sermons and prayer sessions, Kanyari has gained national attention, but he emphasizes that the core purpose of the ‘Mbegu ya 310’ initiative was community support and empowerment.
