Kenyan comedian Sammy Kioko has shared his plans for 2026 in his first social media post of the year, signalling a new chapter while highlighting his faith and resilience.

Drawing inspiration from his Christian beliefs, Kioko reflected on the importance of patience and trusting God to handle life’s battles.

“Ukikaa kimya unampa Mungu Nafasi ya kupigana vita vyako 📌 (When you sit in silence, you give God the chance to fight your battles),” he wrote, emphasizing the power of faith in navigating difficult times.

Kioko also expressed his commitment to starting over, sharing a concise but meaningful message: “It’s never too late to start over again. Grinding back to the city. #Happy new year.”

A Challenging 2025

Kioko’s update follows a lengthy social media absence that began on December 10, 2025. The previous year proved difficult for the comedian, who faced financial challenges and personal hardships, including the illness of his sister, which required treatment abroad. Supporters stepped in to assist him financially during these tough times.

Among the difficult decisions he had to make was selling his first car to cope with financial pressures. Additionally, Kioko had to close his clothing business, Kioko Designs, due to financial constraints, including delays in payments from Machakos County Government.

Standoff With Machakos County Government

In November 2025, Kioko made headlines when a video of him camping outside the governor’s office in Machakos went viral. He publicly shared his frustrations over delayed payments for work he had completed.

“Kutoka asubuhi nimekua hapa kwa ofisi ya governor hapa White House, and imagine I just want to see the governor, but there are people who have made sure I cannot see the governor,” he said at the time.

Kioko affirmed his determination to ensure he receives what he is owed, stating:

“Justice might delay but it never hides, and the truth is louder than politics.”

With 2026 underway, Kioko appears ready to move forward, reconnect with fans, and rebuild his projects, showing resilience and faith in the face of adversity.
