Gospel singer Size 8 has shared an intimate account of the dark chapter in her life, revealing a family history steeped in witchcraft and the challenges she faced breaking free. In an interview with a local TV station on Sunday, March 1, 2026, the musician recounted how faith and perseverance helped her overcome a cycle that had affected generations.
Size 8 explained that serving God in her household was never straightforward. She described her upbringing as “twisted,” with misfortune and spiritual attacks being a constant reality. She traced her lineage to generations bound by witchcraft, making it exceedingly difficult for anyone to escape its influence.
“I come from a witchcraft-oriented background. We were bound to poverty, bound to serving the enemy. Trying to serve God in that environment was almost impossible,” Size 8 said.
Struggles and Challenges
The singer recounted how these spiritual battles had tangible effects on her life, impacting her health, her children, and her marriage. She revealed that she once suffered partial paralysis and endured constant fear, while her children faced life-threatening situations.
“Junior was in the ICU for a very long time, and Wambo was about to die when she was two months old,” she said, highlighting the intensity of the spiritual and practical challenges she faced.
Financial hardships compounded the struggle. Size 8 disclosed that she had only Ksh 58 in her account while burying her mother. Her marriage to DJ Mo also endured strain, including a separation that lasted several months.
Triumph Through Faith
Despite these trials, Size 8 emphasised that faith and perseverance were key to breaking the cycle. She credited her deliverance to the mercy of God, which allowed her to rise above her family’s history.
“Now I am enjoying Christianity in a beautiful way. I see the mercy of God, and I celebrate life,” she said.
She underscored that while spiritual battles can be inherited, personal conviction, knowledge, and determination can rewrite a family’s story, offering hope to others facing similar struggles.
Size 8’s testimony highlights the resilience of faith in overcoming generational challenges and serves as an inspiring example of triumph through adversity.
