KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel has paid tribute to fellow Jamaican artiste Spice, describing her as a loyal friend who stood by him during one of the most challenging periods of his life.

Kartel shared the emotional message on his Instagram page on Friday, August 7, 2026, as he celebrated Spice’s birthday, praising her not only as a fellow musician but as someone who continued to support him while he was serving time in prison.

The dancehall icon said Spice remained one of the few people who consistently believed in him during his absence from the music scene, helping to keep his name and influence alive among fans worldwide.
