Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has issued a strong rebuke against what he termed as unconstitutional efforts to topple the Kenya Kwanza government, warning that any attempts to incite violence or destabilize the country will be met with firm resistance.

Speaking during a women’s empowerment event in Emurwa Dikirr Constituency, Narok County, Kindiki accused unnamed opposition figures of attempting to incite unrest and cause bloodshed in pursuit of power. “These individuals are impatient. They want to spill blood in our country—something we will not sit back and watch happen,” he said.

The Deputy President emphasized that political ambition should be pursued through legal and democratic means, urging all aspirants to wait for the 2027 general elections. “To anyone with ambitions for political office—whether as MCA, MP, senator, governor, or president—wait for 2027. That is when Kenyans will decide who they want to elect,” he stated.

Kindiki underscored the role of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in declaring election results and affirmed that the courts remain the proper avenue for addressing electoral grievances.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to stability and constitutional order, Kindiki dismissed ongoing efforts to disrupt governance as “nonsense” and assured the public that such moves will not be tolerated.

The Deputy President’s remarks come amid rising political tensions and highlight the administration’s firm stance against extra-constitutional political agitation.
