Everton Football Club has strengthened its goalkeeping department with the signing of Republic of Ireland international Mark Travers from AFC Bournemouth. The 26-year-old shot-stopper joins the Toffees on a four-year deal, with the transfer reportedly valued at £4 million ($5.3 million).

Travers brings nearly a decade of experience at Bournemouth, where he made 82 appearances. His move comes at a pivotal time for Everton, as the club prepares to open its new stadium at the start of the upcoming Premier League season.
