NBA to Host Regular Season Games in London and Berlin for 2025-26 Season

The NBA has announced that it will stage regular season games in Europe during the 2025-26 campaign, marking a major step in its global expansion efforts.

The Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic will meet in Berlin on January 15, 2026, followed by a rematch in London three days later. The Berlin clash will be historic, as it marks the first-ever NBA regular season game in Germany and will feature Orlando Magic brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner returning to their hometown.

NBA Europe Managing Director George Aivazoglou said the move reflects “the incredible momentum and appetite for NBA basketball in France, Germany, the UK and across the region.” Over the next three seasons, the league has pledged to play six regular season games across Europe, with Paris and Manchester set to host games in 2026-27, followed by Paris and Berlin in 2027-28.

The NBA has previously staged nine regular season games in London, the last being in 2019, and has also held matches in Paris, Mexico City, and Tokyo.

This announcement aligns with a broader trend of American sports leagues expanding into Europe. The NFL has hosted games in London since 2007 and recently added Munich, Frankfurt, and soon Berlin to its roster of host cities.
