Authorities in Molo, Nakuru County, are investigating a deeply disturbing case involving a 16-year-old boy who confessed to murdering his mother in their home in the Nyakiambi area.
The case came to light on Sunday when the victim’s brother reported the incident to police, leading officers from Elburgon Police Station and the Molo Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to rush to the scene. They found the lifeless body of a middle-aged woman inside her house.
According to a police report, the boy, identified by his initials AG, is a Form Three school dropout. He admitted to killing his mother on Friday afternoon after she allegedly refused to reveal the identity of his biological father. In a fit of rage, AG reportedly struck her multiple times on the head, resulting in her death.
Shocking details reveal that on Saturday, the boy attempted to conceal the crime by digging a shallow grave inside another structure within their compound. He planned to bury the body early Sunday morning.
Police apprehended the minor on Sunday, and the body was moved to Elburgon Level IV Hospital morgue, where it is awaiting an autopsy.
The incident has left the local community in shock and raised serious concerns about underlying issues of domestic conflict and youth mental health. Investigations are ongoing.
