Residents of Apostolic area in Mautuma Ward, Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, woke up to a grim scene on Tuesday morning following the discovery of a mutilated male body.

According to authorities, the deceased had sustained severe head injuries, though the exact cause of death remains unclear. Investigations are currently underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

PanPaper area OCS, in collaboration with Mbagara Assistant Chief Joseline Juma, has urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with authorities. Juma also appealed to members of the public to share any information that could assist in identifying those responsible.

The body has been transferred to the local mortuary, where a postmortem will be conducted as part of the ongoing investigation.
