A fatal road accident has claimed the lives of two individuals following a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Kathithyamaa Bridge, located along the busy Kangundo–Tala route in Machakos County.

According to reports, the crash occurred when one motorcycle was headed towards Tala while the other approached from Kangundo, resulting in a devastating impact. Tragically, both riders died on the spot.

Emergency responders moved swiftly to the scene, and the bodies of the deceased were transferred to a nearby mortuary as investigations into the incident continue.

This incident underscores the urgent need for heightened road safety awareness and enforcement, particularly along high-traffic rural routes where motorcycles are a primary mode of transport.
