Naivasha, Kenya – The action at the Safari Rally Kenya moves into a decisive phase on Saturday as drivers prepare to tackle the rugged terrain around Soysambu Conservancy and Lake Elementaita.
The penultimate day of the rally features six competitive stages covering 122.98 kilometres, with crews facing some of the toughest conditions of the event in the Naivasha region.
Saturday’s Stage Schedule
The day’s action begins with SS11 Soysambu 1 at 8:35am, followed by SS12 Elementaita 1 before the morning loop concludes with SS13 Sleeping Warrior 1 near the dramatic Sleeping Warrior escarpment.
After the midday service break in Naivasha, teams will return to the stages for a second run through the same routes. The afternoon loop includes Soysambu 2, Elementaita 2, and Sleeping Warrior 2, which will bring Saturday’s competition to a close.
Tight Battle at the Top
The rally remains fiercely contested following a dramatic Friday that reshaped the leaderboard.
Toyota driver Oliver Solberg currently holds a narrow one-second lead over nine-time world champion Sébastien Ogier.
Meanwhile, championship leader Elfyn Evans sits third overall, positioning himself for a potential challenge during the crucial Saturday stages.
With unpredictable terrain, dust, and the possibility of mechanical problems, the demanding Safari Rally continues to test both drivers and machines as the competition builds toward Sunday’s final stages.
