Middle East – Former international nuclear watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei has issued a stark warning to Gulf nations, urging urgent diplomatic intervention after renewed threats from Donald Trump toward Iran heightened fears of regional escalation.
ElBaradei, who led the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from 1997 to 2009, called on regional governments to act decisively to prevent further conflict.
“To the Gulf governments: Please… do everything in your power before this madman turns the region into a ball of fire,” ElBaradei wrote on X.
