Kenyan digital creator Ruth K has shared a deeply emotional account of a distressing eight-day ordeal involving her young son, Oyando Junior, who has reportedly been crying continuously despite multiple hospital visits in Nairobi.
In a post published on her Instagram page on Friday, January 2, 2026, Ruth revealed that her child whom she shares with comedian Mulamwah has been in visible distress for more than a week, barely eating or sleeping. She described the experience as one of the most challenging periods of her life, noting that the emotional strain began at the close of 2025 and has continued into the new year.
Multiple Hospital Visits Yield No Diagnosis
According to Ruth, the family has sought medical assistance from several leading hospitals in Nairobi in an effort to understand the cause of the baby’s persistent crying. Despite undergoing numerous medical evaluations, doctors have reportedly been unable to identify any illness or underlying medical condition that could explain his condition.
The lack of clear answers has left Ruth feeling confused, helpless, and deeply concerned about her child’s wellbeing.
“Lately a lot has been happening. My baby has been crying nonstop for almost eight days no eating, no sleeping. This has been the toughest season of my life,” she shared. “My 2025 ended with sadness, and 2026 has begun in the same mood. We have visited the best hospitals in Nairobi for checkups, but unfortunately, no illness has been found.”
Emotional Toll on a Parent
Ruth explained that the video accompanying her post captures only a small fraction of what the family has been enduring behind the scenes. She said the situation has taken a heavy emotional toll on her as a parent, describing the experience as heartbreaking and overwhelming as she struggles to understand what might be wrong with her child.
She added that sharing such a vulnerable moment publicly was not an easy decision, but she felt compelled to speak out from a place of pain and fear, as she continues to search for answers.
“I am posting this with a heavy heart just a heartbroken parent who cannot understand what is going on or what to do,” she wrote.
