Traders at Mutindwa Market in Nairobi are facing significant losses, estimated in the millions of shillings, after a fire swept through part of the market early on Saturday morning.

According to reports from business owners, the fire started at around 9:30 a.m. in one commercial building before rapidly spreading to neighboring premises.

Emergency Response
Three fire engines from the Nairobi City County government were deployed to the scene and remain engaged in efforts to control the blaze and prevent further damage. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as fire crews battle to contain the fire.

Traders are now assessing the extent of the damage and losses, while investigations are expected to determine the cause of the fire.
