Robotics Takes Center Stage
Shanghai-based robotics company AgiBot unveiled humanoid robots designed for retail, reception, and factory roles. According to company managers, advances in AI have transformed robots from fixed, task-specific machines into adaptable systems capable of responding to people and environmental changes in real time.
AI in Communication
Deutsche Telekom presented Magenta, an AI-powered call assistant that provides live translation, call summaries, and contextual answers during conversations. The service activates only with user consent and will initially launch in Germany. The company emphasized that no calls are recorded, ensuring privacy for users while enhancing communication efficiency.
5G-Enabled Solutions
Other demonstrations showcased the integration of AI and 5G in healthcare and communications. Connected ambulances, using edge AI, can transmit patient data to hospitals in real time, while NTT Docomo demonstrated immersive 3D transmissions over 5G networks.
The overarching message at the event was clear: modern networks are no longer just about speed. Instead, they enable seamless connections between machines, services, and people, creating smarter and more responsive everyday environments.
