Celebrity personality Kamene Goro has finally addressed one of the most talked-about claims from her past, revealing that the infamous “27 body count” story was never true.
During a candid conversation on a local podcast on Saturday, January 3, 2025, Kamene explained that the number was part of a scripted sexual health campaign and did not reflect her personal life. She emphasized that while she has no regrets about her past, every experience contributed to the discipline and perspective she holds today.
“If I had not messed up as I had in the past, I would not be the person that I am right now,” Kamene said.
Clearing the Air on the Body Count Story
Addressing the longstanding claim directly, Kamene clarified:
“Even hiyo story ya body count, which was not true, guys. Can we just get that clear? What happened was that it was bait for a campaign of sexual health. So that is the number I was given.”
She added that the figure was intended to spark conversations around sexual health awareness, not to serve as a personal revelation. The clarification comes years after a 2019 interview in which she cited the number, a statement that resurfaced repeatedly in public discussions.
Reflecting on Life Lessons
During the podcast, Kamene also shared insights from her early adult life, including being asked to leave her family home. She recounted spending Ksh356K on rent as she settled in Nairobi, describing the period as formative.
