Kenyan singer Masauti has opened up about his favorite collaborations in the music industry, naming Nadia Mukami as his most fulfilling creative partner to date.
Speaking during a podcast interview on Monday, October 13, 2025, the “Chini Chini” hitmaker praised Nadia’s creativity, energy, and unique artistic chemistry, describing their studio sessions as effortlessly magical.
“Nadia comes first, then Khaligraph… but mostly Nadia,” Masauti said. “Every time we work together, it just clicks everything turns out amazing. We even have some unreleased tracks, and they’re all fire. We just have that smart, creative connection.”
A Natural Creative Connection
Masauti explained that his bond with Nadia Mukami is rooted in mutual respect and a shared commitment to musical excellence, which has consistently produced standout collaborations. He also commended producers Kailo and Motif, crediting them for shaping his evolving sound and maintaining the quality of his releases.
“There’s a producer called Kailo whenever we work together, something beautiful comes out. Same with Motif and others. I love working with different people,” he noted.
The singer emphasized that collaboration across diverse styles and sounds has played a key role in his artistic growth, allowing him to stay creative and versatile.
Responding to “Lazy” Claims
Masauti’s comments come shortly after addressing speculation about his inconsistent music releases, with some fans and fellow artists questioning his commitment to the craft.
During an interview on Thursday, September 18, 2025, Masauti responded to remarks made by rapper Khaligraph Jones, who had previously praised his talent but wondered why he didn’t release songs more frequently.
“Yes, I saw that Khaligraph said I have talent but that I’m lazy. It’s true I haven’t been consistent, but I wouldn’t call it laziness,” Masauti explained. “Everyone moves at their own pace in life.”
He added that his slower release schedule was due to personal commitments and strategic planning, rather than lack of dedication.
“The way he moves is not the same as how I move. I have my own plans and goals. People thought I was slowing down, and I agree I wasn’t active on social media but that doesn’t mean I gave up or stopped working,” he said.
Masauti reaffirmed his commitment to music, promising fans that new projects are on the way and that his focus remains on creating timeless, high-quality music.
