Gospel singer Mr Seed has broken his silence on a harrowing road accident that nearly claimed his life and those of his loved ones, revealing just how close the incident came to ending in tragedy.
In a video message shared on TikTok on Saturday, January 3, 2026, the Kumbe Kumbe hitmaker thanked fans and well-wishers for their concern, reassuring them that everyone involved in the crash survived. He confirmed that despite the severity of the accident, no lives were lost.
Mr Seed explained that the crash occurred on the night of January 1 at around 10:30pm in Siaya County, as he was driving to Siaya town for a scheduled club appearance. He was accompanied by his wife, Nimo, and two friends who were seated in the back of the vehicle.
According to the singer, their car was struck by another vehicle whose occupants were allegedly speeding on a poorly lit stretch of road. He recalled that the oncoming car appeared out of control and nearly caused a head-on collision.
“My wife noticed the danger first and warned me. I thought they would pass, but they didn’t,” Mr Seed recounted. Faced with a ditch on one side of the road, he said he made a split-second decision to swerve just enough to avoid a fatal impact.
The manoeuvre, however, did not prevent significant damage. The other vehicle hit the side mirror, damaged one side of the car and burst a tyre, leaving the vehicle badly wrecked. Mr Seed admitted that the impact left him shaken, describing the damage as extensive.
Despite the frightening experience, he expressed gratitude that all occupants escaped without serious injury, noting that material losses could not be compared to the value of human life.
Mr Seed further claimed that the occupants of the other vehicle were intoxicated and caused a disturbance at the scene after the crash. He said the ordeal reinforced the importance of responsible driving.
Using the experience as a cautionary message, the gospel singer urged motorists to avoid reckless behaviour, particularly drinking and driving, emphasising that life should always come first.
The couple had earlier shared news of the accident on January 2, expressing gratitude for their safety. In a message posted online, Nimo described the incident as an unbelievable start to the year, thanking God for preserving their lives.
