A night guard lost his life last night while on duty at Minaj Supermarket along the Bungoma–Mumias Road in the Musikoma area.
Police say the incident is part of a concerning rise in robbery-with-violence cases in Bungoma town and its surroundings. Investigators report that the attackers gained entry to the supermarket during the night and fatally assaulted the guard with sharp objects, leaving him dead at the scene.
Authorities have launched a full investigation and are appealing to the public for any information that could help identify and apprehend the suspects.
