The Wiper Patriotic Front has formally endorsed its party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, as its presidential flagbearer for the 2027 General Elections, marking a major milestone in the party’s political journey.
The endorsement was made during a grand National Delegates Congress (NDC) held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Uhuru Park, Nairobi, an event that attracted national attention and a jubilant crowd of delegates, leaders, and supporters.
A Historic Moment for Wiper
During the ceremony, Wiper’s organising secretary officially presented an endorsement certificate to Kalonzo, symbolising the delegates’ unanimous confidence in his leadership. The certificate was signed by the Secretary General on behalf of all delegates before being handed to Kalonzo amid cheers, confetti, and celebration.
“Your Excellency, we have prepared a certificate endorsing you as our candidate for the 2027 elections. The Secretary General will now sign it on behalf of the delegates who have affirmed their trust in your leadership,” the organising secretary announced.
The event concluded with photo sessions featuring Kalonzo, party officials, and family members—underscoring the celebratory and historic nature of the endorsement.

The high-profile NDC drew attendance from several key political figures, signalling Kalonzo’s growing stature in the national political arena. Among those present were:
- Rigathi Gachagua, former Deputy President and DCP leader
- Eugene Wamalwa, DAP-K leader

- Fred Matiang’i, former Interior Cabinet Secretary
- Justin Muturi, former National Assembly Speaker
