Kenyan musician Bahati has publicly apologised for his recent actions, saying he has taken time to reflect and acknowledges that he has not always lived up to expectations.

In a statement shared on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the award-winning artist said he received numerous calls from friends and family after his recent conduct sparked criticism online.

“I received many calls from my friends and family… I want to apologise for all the times you feel I have let down society,” Bahati said.

Admits He Has Fallen Short

The singer expressed remorse for disappointing those who look up to him, including his fans, brand partners, and the Christian community. He also admitted that he has not always acted responsibly as a father and regrets any hurt his actions may have caused.

“For all the times I haven’t acted like a responsible father to my kids, I apologise. I also apologise for the times you feel I have let down Christianity,” he added.

Despite acknowledging his shortcomings, Bahati maintained that his faith in God remains firm, saying only God truly understands his heart and intentions.

“My God, the one who knows my heart, forgive me because I am just a man. You know I have never left you. God sijawai kuacha,” he said.

“No Man Is Perfect”

The former gospel artist reminded his followers that perfection is unattainable, quoting the Bible to emphasise that everyone makes mistakes.

“Just like the Bible says, no man is perfect, and I agree I am not,” he stated.

Bahati, who has often been in the spotlight for his personal choices, said he is determined to change and become a better version of himself. He noted that while he cannot promise perfection, he is committed to doing his best moving forward.

“Jesus, as I work on myself, I can’t promise perfection, but I will do my best. So help me God,” he said.

A Message to His Supporters

In his closing remarks, Bahati extended a heartfelt apology to those who may have felt disappointed by him, asking for their understanding and continued support.

“To my fans, partners, and family, I apologise for letting you down. I am just a man,” he said.

Bahati’s message comes as a moment of self-reflection and a pledge to make positive changes in his personal and professional life.
