Content creator M Alby has publicly responded to allegations made by his former friend, Sumeeya, who accused him of attempting to damage her reputation and sabotage her professional opportunities in Kenya.
In a TikTok video shared on Monday, January 5, 2026, Sumeeya detailed the fallout between the two, saying she chose to end the friendship after finding M Alby’s behaviour toxic. She alleged that following her return to Kenya, he attempted to influence brands to spread false information about her in order to block her career progress.
“He was begging brands to lie about me so I wouldn’t succeed in Kenya,” Sumeeya claimed,
adding that he was resentful of her success and intent on ruining her name after the friendship ended.
She further alleged that a gift previously given to her by M Alby was later used to harass her, describing the experience as stressful and shocking. According to Sumeeya, the situation affected her ability to work with brands locally.
M Alby responds
In response, M Alby addressed the claims in a TikTok video posted on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, firmly denying the accusations. He dismissed screenshots circulating online as fake and misleading, insisting he has never contacted or paid brands to interfere with Sumeeya’s work.
“There’s a girl posting fake screenshots about me, saying I asked or bought a brand,” he said. “I don’t even know how to do content with her.”
He also clarified that he has never collaborated with the brands or businesses mentioned by Sumeeya, emphasising that his content creation is entirely independent.
“All the equipment I use is mine. I edit everything myself. I’ve never involved brands in this way,” he stated.
M Alby acknowledged that the controversy has brought significant pressure, including an influx of hostile messages, but maintained that he remains focused and undeterred.
“I’m not falling into depression this year. Anyone who wants to bring my name down, come my way. But I’m not going down,” he said.
He further revealed that he is considering legal action over the allegations and the circulation of what he described as fabricated evidence. M Alby urged viewers to review his content history, noting that none of his previous posts or videos contain attacks or negative remarks directed at Sumeeya.
