Celebrated Kenyan singer and songwriter Masauti has explained why he chooses to keep his romantic life away from the public eye. Speaking to YouTubers on Saturday, September 27, 2025, the Sokote hitmaker said he simply does not see the need to publicize personal relationships on social media.
“There is no particular reason why I do not share much about my relationships. Those who are close to me already know when I am in one. It is not necessary for me to post for people to know,” Masauti said.
He emphasized that whether or not someone chooses to showcase their love life online is a matter of personal preference, adding that both approaches are valid.
On the music front, Masauti addressed his much-anticipated collaboration with Khaligraph Jones, clarifying that the project was born out of mutual respect and long-standing discussions, not controversy.
“Khaligraph once said I am talented but need to work harder. I took his words as a challenge and worked on them. That is part of what inspired me to reach out,” Masauti revealed.
He described Khaligraph as a “senior brother” in the industry and stressed that their collaboration was a natural fit for the song, rather than a response to public narratives.
With this new release, Masauti continues to cement his reputation as one of Kenya’s most versatile artists while maintaining his preference for discretion in his personal life.
