Kondele, Kisumu County – Police in Kisumu are pursuing a suspect, known locally as “ABOY,” following the fatal stabbing of a man and a woman in the Obunga slums on Thursday night, in what authorities believe was a dispute linked to a love triangle.
The victims, identified as Omondi Jaalego and Trizer, were attacked inside Omondi’s home after the suspect reportedly followed Trizer, his former girlfriend, to meet Omondi. Police say the suspect believed the two were secretly involved.
Armed with a knife, the suspect allegedly attacked the pair. The victims attempted to flee but succumbed to their injuries just a few metres from the house.
The bodies were taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) by responding officers.
Police from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are actively pursuing the suspect, whose arrest is considered a priority as investigations continue. Authorities have urged residents with information on the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward to assist with the investigation.
