Content creator Miss Trudy has shared an emotional and deeply personal account of her struggles with miscarriages, explaining why she chose to keep the details private from her family. In a video released on Sunday, January 11, 2026, the Kenyan YouTuber revealed that she and her husband, Ghanaian travel vlogger Wode Moses Maya, endured multiple pregnancy losses and opted to manage the grief between themselves.
“We got to a point because we were having many miscarriages; we could not tell our families. We decided, let’s not stress our families,” Trudy explained. She further disclosed that her father was aware of only two of the losses, while Maya’s mother also knew of just two. The couple made a conscious decision to shield their families from repeated heartbreak.
Wode Maya Opens Up
Earlier on the same day, Wode Moses Maya shared his own account of the couple’s struggles on social media. He revealed that their heartbreak began in September 2021, when they were told they could not have children. Three months later, in December 2021, Maya proposed to Miss Trudy. The following year, they were married in September 2022 a day carrying deep emotion, as it marked the 13th anniversary of Miss Trudy’s mother’s passing.
“September 2021 we were told we couldn’t have children. December 2021 I asked her to be my wife,” he wrote. “September 2022 we got married, on the same day she lost her mother 13 years earlier.”
Pregnancy and Hope in 2025
After enduring six miscarriages, the couple welcomed hope in 2025 when they successfully became pregnant again. Wode Maya described their journey as a testament to resilience, faith, and hope.
“After six heartbreaking miscarriages over the years, in 2025, we became pregnant again,” he shared. “Through every challenge, every loss, and every tear, our journey is a testimony of resilience, faith, and hope. God is the greatest.”
Miss Trudy and Wode Maya’s story highlights the emotional toll of repeated pregnancy loss and the difficult choices couples make to protect loved ones while navigating private grief. By sharing their journey publicly, they hope to inspire others facing similar struggles to hold on to hope and lean on faith during challenging times.
