Authorities in Trans-Nzoia County have apprehended six individuals linked to a series of robberies in the Endebess area, police confirmed on Monday. The group, reportedly operating under the name ‘Kapenguria Six,’ is suspected of targeting communities in Kaisheber, Nabeki, Cherubai, and surrounding locations.
The suspects Juma Wanjala, Samson Kapolon Ewoi, Thomas Esakon Lorongoi, Linus Wekesa Wasilwa, Moses Kisuya Wekesa, and Ezra Simiyu Nyongesa were taken into custody following a coordinated operation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
During searches, officers recovered a military-style jungle belt, a beret, and three pangas believed to have been used in criminal activities.
The suspects remain in police custody and are expected to be arraigned in court as investigations continue. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
