Popular YouTuber and entrepreneur Robert Ndegwa Kamau, widely known as Thee Pluto, has marked a new chapter in his personal life after tying the knot in a traditional ceremony. The wedding comes months after his highly publicised breakup with his baby mama, Felicity Shiru.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2025, Thee Pluto shared a video of the ceremony on his official Instagram account, accompanied by a heartfelt reflection on the significance of the occasion. He emphasised that the union was not rushed but honoured through culture, faith, and tradition.
“Love was not rushed; it was honored. Before two hearts could become one, families gathered, elders spoke wisdom, and tradition took its rightful place. Rũracio is more than a ceremony; it is a sacred agreement, witnessed by heaven and sealed by culture,” he wrote.
The content creator highlighted how the ceremony brought families together, with elders offering guidance and underscoring the values of patience, respect, and purpose in marriage.
“This union symbolises not only the coming together of two individuals but also the merging of histories, prayers, and generations,” he added. “In humility, we came before our people. In love, we gave and received. In faith, we stepped into a covenant greater than us; one rooted in respect, patience and purpose.”
Thee Pluto further described the wedding as a harmonious blend of tradition and modern love, where culture, faith, and romance converged. “This was not just the union of two souls, but the merging of histories, prayers, and generations. May the same God who watched over our ancestors bless this journey, guide our steps, and keep love at the centre of it all. I honoured my ancestors, and they honoured me back. Tradition met romance, culture met faith, and love found its rightful foundation,” he wrote.
Reflection on Past Relationship
The ceremony follows a period of personal growth for Thee Pluto, who has openly reflected on his emotional and professional transformation following his breakup with Felicity Shiru.
During an interview with Dr. Ofweneke on July 23, 2025, he acknowledged the challenges of their relationship under intense public scrutiny. He took responsibility for his part in the split and emphasised the importance of maintaining privacy moving forward.
“My marriage was public, and I agree the breakup was messy for me. I take responsibility for my part that unfolded in ways I could not imagine. After that, I took time to heal and learn, and I have taken time to evolve and become a better man,” he said.
He added that the experience taught him to protect his values and personal relationships from public exposure. “The breakup taught me more than success has. I have learnt to separate myself and my values from public perception,” he explained.
Despite the heartbreak, Thee Pluto maintains faith in love and relationships.
“My breakup has not changed the perception I have of marriage and relationships. Sometimes love does not fail it teaches us,” he said.
Previous Relationship
Thee Pluto and Felicity Shiru were together for nearly three years before parting ways in September 2024. At the time, he posted a public statement acknowledging the split and pledging to co-parent peacefully.
“We have decided to go our separate ways and end our three-year relationship. Thank you for the continued support from family, friends, and fans. Let’s not speculate or spread lies about the situation. We will co-parent peacefully to ensure the life of our lovely daughter is not affected. Give us some space during this hard time,” he wrote.
