Disney and YouTube TV have reached a multi-year agreement, restoring the entertainment giant’s content to the streaming platform and ending a two-week blackout that coincided with a historic election night. The deal, finalized late Friday, November 14, 2025, ensures that Disney’s sports, entertainment, and news programming including ESPN and ABC will return to YouTube TV, with content already reappearing on the service.

“This new agreement reflects our continued commitment to delivering exceptional entertainment and evolving with how audiences choose to watch,” said Disney Entertainment Co-Chairmen Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, along with ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro.

YouTube expressed satisfaction with the agreement, stating it “preserves the value of our service for our subscribers and future flexibility in our offers.” The platform also apologized for the temporary disruption, thanking subscribers for their patience during the negotiations.

The deal grants YouTube TV access to all of Disney’s traditional broadcast programming, including ESPN networks, ABC, Disney-branded channels, FX Networks, and National Geographic. Subscribers will also gain access to ESPN’s new sports streaming platform, launched earlier this year, providing fans with more options amid a fragmented online sports landscape.

Additionally, subscribers can choose to bundle Disney+ and Hulu with their YouTube TV service. The blackout had begun after an October 31 midnight deadline passed without a renewed agreement between the companies.
