Mary Biketi, the girlfriend of Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya, has firmly dismissed online claims that one of her vehicles was repossessed, stressing that she is financially stable and has no reason for concern.
In a statement shared online on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Biketi questioned the motive behind the rumours, clarifying that she owns several vehicles and maintains a comfortable lifestyle. “Excuse me, in fact, add an ‘s’ because I have cars,” she said.
She also refuted allegations that she resides in Syokimau in a house allegedly acquired after Oparanya’s cabinet appointment, stating that she already had her own property before he became CS.
Biketi took a swipe at critics, urging them to focus on their own financial obligations—particularly Hustler Fund loans—rather than spreading falsehoods about her. “Lipeni Hustler Fund kwanza ndio mni address,” she remarked.
Ridiculing claims that she was left without transport, Biketi asked whether detractors expected her to move around in a tuk-tuk or motorbike, insisting her life remains stable and independent.
Her comments come after days of speculation on social media over her lifestyle. With this response, Biketi has categorically denied the claims, affirming that she owns multiple cars and does not rely on others for her livelihood.
She concluded by stating that she is focused on her work in Trans Nzoia and has no intention of entertaining baseless rumours.
