In a heartfelt announcement that has moved the global worship community, Naomi Raine and Chandler Moore, two of the most influential voices in Maverick City Music, have confirmed their departure from the award-winning collective.
The group, celebrated for revolutionising contemporary worship and uniting believers across cultural and denominational lines, has produced some of the most impactful worship anthems of the past decade.
Both artists took to social media on Monday, October 6, 2025, to share emotional statements reflecting on their journeys with Maverick City and their decisions to embark on new seasons of ministry and personal growth.
Naomi Raine: “A New Chapter Begins”
Naomi Raine, one of the group’s most recognisable voices and prolific songwriters, said her decision followed “a lot of prayer and consideration.”
“Being part of Mav truly changed my life,” she wrote. “What started as a group of folks singing in a shed turned into something I could’ve never imagined.”
Naomi reflected on the highs and lows of her time with the collective, expressing gratitude for the lessons learned and affirming her commitment to continue making music independently.
“This isn’t an ending but a new beginning,” she said. “I’m excited about the music, ministry, and purpose ahead. God’s not done yet.”
Chandler Moore: “Bittersweet but Full of Purpose”
Chandler Moore echoed similar sentiments, describing his departure as “bittersweet” but necessary for his next chapter.
“These last two years I’ve been locked in on what really matters in my life and career,” he said. “When we started Mav, I was just grateful to have a community and belonging while pursuing my dream of making music that helps people experience God.”
Chandler hinted at stepping into a new season filled with vision and renewed focus, thanking fans and fellow artists for their unwavering support.
A Legacy of Worship and Unity
Since its inception, Maverick City Music has become a global phenomenon, reshaping the landscape of modern worship through collaborations, inclusivity, and authenticity. The departure of Raine and Moore marks the end of an era but also the beginning of new, individual journeys for two artists whose influence continues to inspire millions worldwide.
