Media personality Oga Obinna has spoken out following the tragic death of Kevin Mburu Kinyanju, popularly known as Shalkido, a former member of the famed Gengetone group Sailors Gang.

Speaking on Monday, October 6, 2025, Obinna paid a heartfelt tribute to the late artiste while condemning the wave of online conspiracy theories surrounding his death.

“I have seen a lot of theories circulating online about Shalkido’s death—claims that he was sacrificed or used. It’s sad how people turn tragedy into gossip,” Obinna stated.

The media personality criticized individuals who only show concern after someone has passed, emphasizing the importance of supporting people while they are still alive.

“I always like to give people flowers when they are alive. When someone is gone, there’s not much you can do. Reach out to our brothers and sisters who are struggling—support and guide them while they’re still here,” he urged.

Obinna also expressed gratitude for the brief but meaningful time he shared with Shalkido, noting that he had no regrets about his involvement in the late artiste’s life.

“I am grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to be in his life and impact it positively,” he said.
