Fast-rising musician Stevo Simple Boy has opened up about his latest purchase—a car he bought for Ksh350,000—while emphasizing that he values functionality over status.
Speaking on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Stevo explained that he is not bothered by the size or prestige of a vehicle, noting that what matters most is reliability and reaching one’s destination.
“Whether a car is big or small, what matters is that it moves and gets you where you need to go, so I have no stress,” he said.
Though the vehicle is second-hand, Stevo expressed pride in fully owning it, especially after a previous attempt to acquire a car fell through due to incomplete payment. He added that after some bodywork, the car could look trendier than those of some artistes.
Currently, the artist is enrolled in a driving school to sharpen his skills and gain confidence behind the wheel. For now, he plans to use the car comfortably and upgrade when his finances allow.
Stevo also weighed in on celebrity cars, praising stars like Khaligraph Jones, MP Jalang’o, and KRG The Don for their impressive rides. However, he suggested that some artistes flaunt flashy cars mainly for clout, while singling out Ssaru as one who genuinely owns and maintains a solid vehicle.
