Kenyan TikToker Kaluma Boy has shared an emotional milestone in his family’s journey—his ailing father has been transferred to Jumuia Mission Hospital for specialized care, following months of home treatment and an outpouring of national goodwill.

In a video posted on October 6, 2025, Kaluma documented the moment his bedridden father was prepared for the transfer, assisted by businessman Mofarm and members of Bishop Ben Kiengei’s Jesus Compassion Ministry (JCM). The move marks a major step forward in the father’s recovery, with medical professionals now taking over his treatment.

The transfer follows a powerful wave of public support that began when Kaluma started sharing videos of his daily caregiving routine for his father, who suffered a stroke in August 2024. His openness struck a national chord, inspiring fundraisers across Kenya and culminating in a massive Othaya charity drive on September 28, 2025.

Hundreds of TikTokers and young Kenyans gathered in Othaya, donating funds, food, and essential items. Businessman Mofarm contributed Ksh300,000—the day’s largest donation—and has since remained actively involved in the family’s welfare. Influencers such as Young Blood Kamotho (YBK), Rachael Otuoma, Bancy, Sparky Kenya, Junior wa Hii Styles, and Kenyan Prince also lent their support.

Bishop Ben Kiengei, a consistent supporter, donated a medical bed, electric wheelchair, and food supplies, while pledging ongoing assistance. A week later, a Thanksgiving service at JCM Church in Ruiru raised over Ksh2 million within thirty minutes, alongside gifts including a Samsung S24 Ultra and a plot of land for the family.

Contributors such as Mugithi star Samidoh (Ksh50,000) and Kameme FM presenter Muthoni Baby Top (Ksh200,000) helped cover medical expenses. Bishop Kiengei later confirmed that part of the funds will establish a business for Kaluma’s mother, while Kaluma Boy himself received a full university scholarship to study Sales and Marketing at East African University.

What began as a teenager’s cry for help has evolved into a national story of compassion, unity, and the power of social media to mobilize change in real life.
