Kenyan content creator Terence Creative has called on local creators to approach American streamer iShowSpeed’s visit with strategic thinking, urging them to focus beyond one-off collaborations.
Speaking on Sunday, December 4, 2025, Terence said the visit presents a rare opportunity for the Kenyan creative industry, which should be leveraged for long-term benefits rather than short-term excitement.
“Kenyan creators, let’s control our excitement about iShowSpeed’s visit and see beyond collaborating with him for a one-time content,” he said.
Collaboration Should Be Strategic
While acknowledging that collaborations are appealing, Terence stressed they should not be the ultimate goal. He highlighted iShowSpeed’s massive following on YouTube and Twitch, as well as his connections to global personalities, as avenues for creators to scale their influence internationally.
“He has a very huge network of people like MrBeast, CR7, and many more global figures,” Terence noted, adding that such access could accelerate Kenyan creators’ entry into global platforms.
Focus on Learning and Exposure
Terence suggested that local creators use the visit to build skills, gain exposure, and learn growth strategies. He proposed organizing direct engagements, such as short workshops or masterclasses with iShowSpeed, to teach creators how to grow their brands and develop content that appeals to international audiences.
“Let him meet creators even for an afternoon for a masterclass,” Terence said, noting that learning a few key strategies could significantly expand their reach.
Expanding Global Opportunities
Beyond skills development, Terence encouraged creators to think about long-term opportunities, such as having Kenyan culture, events, and creators featured in iShowSpeed’s streams. Such visibility, he explained, could introduce local talent to global audiences and create sustainable growth for the industry.
“If he captures Kenyan creators, culture, events, or continuous collaborations in his streams, it can put local creators in front of a huge international audience,” Terence said.
He concluded by emphasizing that the visit should be treated as a chance to grow the entire creative ecosystem in Kenya, cautioning creators to think beyond immediate excitement and plan for long-term impact on the global stage.
