Kenyan comedian and actor DJ Shiti has announced the death of his father, Richard Ndede Mbanda, following a seven-year battle with cancer.

DJ Shiti Pays Tribute to His Father

In his emotional tribute, DJ Shiti revealed that his father died in the morning after living with cancer for seven years.

“My Old Man Joined his Ancestors Yesterday Morning, After Battling Cancer for 7 years,” he wrote.

Reflecting on the prolonged illness, the comedian expressed hope that cancer would eventually be defeated.

“One day cancer will also die,” he added.

DJ Shiti concluded his tribute by honouring his father and bidding him farewell.

“Rest in power, Omwami Richard Ndede Mbanda,” he wrote.
