Esma Platnumz Speaks Out on Diamond and Zuchu’s Relationship Tensions

DAR ES SALAAM — Diamond Platnumz’s elder sister, Esma Platnumz, has spoken about tensions that she says sometimes arise between the Bongo Flava star and his wife, Zuchu, claiming disagreements between the couple can extend to members of the singer’s family and wider Wasafi circle.

Speaking to a Tanzanian radio station on Monday, September 14, 2026, Esma said Zuchu sometimes blocks people associated with Diamond following disagreements with her husband.

According to Esma, the communication cut-offs can affect family members who were not directly involved in the disagreement.

“And you find that she may have an argument with her husband, Nasibu, and then later on tomorrow you try to call her and you find she has blocked you. She gets angry so fast,” Esma said.

She claimed the situation can continue until Zuchu has calmed down, describing her as someone who becomes angry quickly during disagreements.

Esma Criticises Blocking Behaviour

Esma said she does not approve of the alleged behaviour and has previously spoken directly to Zuchu about it.

She claimed that Zuchu's blocking sometimes extends beyond Diamond's immediate family to other people associated with the singer and his Wasafi camp.

“So every time she gets in a disagreement with Diamond, she blocks everyone else related to him,” Esma added.

The comments offer a glimpse into the dynamics surrounding the high-profile couple, although the claims remain Esma's account of their private disagreements.

Appeal for Greater Maturity

Esma said she recently spoke to Zuchu about the issue and urged her to approach disagreements differently, particularly following the birth of her child.

“And I do not like it, and I usually tell her that she cannot keep doing that. She just needs to get used to this man,” Esma said.

She added that she reminded Zuchu that she is now a mother and should approach family disagreements with greater maturity.

Focus on Motherhood

Esma encouraged Zuchu to leave what she described as past attitudes behind and concentrate on caring for her child.

“She needs to mature and quit the attitudes. She needs to leave them behind and focus and care for the baby,” she said.

Esma's remarks have added to public interest in the relationship between Diamond and Zuchu, one of Tanzania's most closely followed celebrity couples. However, neither Diamond nor Zuchu has publicly responded to the specific claims made by Esma in the interview.
