Hundreds of mourners, family members and political leaders from across the country have gathered at Malinya Grounds in Ikolomani Constituency, Kakamega County, for the funeral of Gloria Khalwale, the wife of Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.
The Friday funeral has brought together leaders, friends and residents who have travelled to pay their final respects to Gloria, whose death has left her family and community in mourning.
Among the leaders attending the funeral are Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi, Bumula MP Jack Wamboka and Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga, alongside other political figures.
Catholic Church Leads Funeral Service
The funeral service is being conducted by the Catholic Church, with clergy leading mourners in prayers and remembrance.
Family members, friends, political leaders and local residents have gathered at Malinya Grounds to honour Gloria's life and offer support to the Khalwale family during the period of mourning.
The gathering has also provided an opportunity for political leaders from different parts of the country to stand with Senator Khalwale and his family.
Gloria Khalwale Dies Suddenly
Gloria Khalwale died suddenly on August 15 after suffering a heart attack.
