Stoopid Boy’s Final Video Surfaces Hours Before His Death

A video shared online by Gota City rapper Stoopid Boy, best known for his hit song “G Bag Na Jug,” has attracted attention after news of his death was announced.

The video, posted on August 27, 2026, appears to show the rapper inside what looks like an unfinished building while being confronted by another man.

In the footage, the man grabs Stoopid Boy by his shirt and pushes him against a wall as the two exchange words. The exact circumstances surrounding the confrontation remain unclear, and the footage appears to have been staged as a skit.

Stoopid Boy can be heard responding to the other man while discussing money and apologising.

The rapper also appears to have an injury on his face. However, it has not been established whether the injury was part of the staged scene or occurred before the video was recorded.

The video has received renewed attention following the announcement of Stoopid Boy’s death, with fans revisiting his final social media activity.

There is, however, no confirmed evidence linking the video or the confrontation depicted in it to his death.

His final hours

Stoopid Boy’s friend and fellow artiste Raveen Domi confirmed his death and recalled seeing him shortly before the tragedy.

Domi said the rapper appeared to be in good spirits when they met and told him that he was heading to the studio to continue recording new music.

“Jamaa hata jana alikuwa tu fiti. Tumekuwa naye hapa kwa street kidogo kidogo, akaniambia anaenda studio. So alikuwa na ngoma alikuwa anaendelea kurecord,” Domi said.

Domi also recalled another brief encounter with Stoopid Boy while he was heading to Mukuru.

He said the rapper asked him for Ksh25, but he did not have the money at the time. Domi said he promised to try and get the money later.

That interaction would become one of their final encounters.

Domi said he later received the news of Stoopid Boy’s death after returning home.

He described the loss as difficult to comprehend, particularly because the rapper had been discussing plans for new music.

A career marked by music and personal challenges

Stoopid Boy had established himself within Kenya’s emerging Arbantone scene, with “G Bag Na Jug” becoming his best-known release.

Away from music, the rapper had also spoken publicly about personal challenges and efforts to rebuild his life.

In 2025, he received support through media personality Oga Obinna’s platform and entered a rehabilitation programme with assistance from several well-wishers.

He later spoke about the challenges of maintaining his progress after rehabilitation.

The rapper had also recently experienced a family bereavement following the death of his older brother, Yan, whom he publicly mourned.

Despite the challenges he faced, friends say Stoopid Boy remained interested in music and was working on new material before his death.

Domi said the rapper had several projects that they had discussed but never managed to complete.

“Personally tulikuwa na a lot of projects alikuwa anataka tupige pamoja but hatukuwanga tumezipiga. Sad. Hivyo ndio kijana ameenda,” he said.

Fans mourn Arbantone talent

News of Stoopid Boy’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief among fans and fellow artistes, particularly in Gota City, where he had built a strong following.

Domi described the rapper as a talented musician whose death had left the local community mourning.

He also urged fans to remember Stoopid Boy’s family during the difficult period.
